POLICIES
The Sailmaker’s House caters to the modern and self-sufficient traveler. We encourage you let yourself in and make yourself at home.
DEPOSIT
We collect a one night deposit to hold the guest room(s) and the remaining balance will be charged 48 hours prior to arrival. Once the remaining balance is charged, the reservation(s) is non-refundable per our cancellation policy.
Cancellation policy
Regardless of circumstances, reservations must be canceled 3 days prior to arrival (latest 4pm hotel time) to avoid forfeit of the total cost of the stay. Refunds or guest credits are not given for early departures, shortening a stay or cancellation within the 72 hour period.
Adults preferred!
We require that all guests be at least 21 years of age to book a reservation at The Sailmaker’s House. The Sailmaker’s House may not be suitable for children under 12 years of age in terms of safety (think sharp corners and fine art!) or serenity (think “quiet reprieve”) Please contact us if you have specific questions.
arriving early? leaving late?
Early check in cannot be guaranteed. If you do plan to arrive early, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can do our best to accommodate. If available, early check ins will incur an additional non refundable fee. The inn entry door is not active until you have received your check in text.
Late check out requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. If available, late check outs will incur an additional non refundable fee. Please contact us to arrange.
No smoking
Smoking and vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited inside guest rooms and common areas both by The Sailmaker's House and the State of New Hampshire Law. Smoking or vaping in guest rooms will trigger the fire alarms throughout the property. If evidence of smoking in guest rooms or designated non-smoking areas is detected, a $250 fee will be added to your bill.
Quiet, please!
Due to the age and historical nature of our building, sound can travel. We ask that all guests are quiet and mindful that they are sharing the house with others between the hours of 9pm and 8am.
Pets
Pets are not permitted on property. If a pet is in your possession and/or in your room without the consent from a member of our staff, there is a $250 mandatory cleaning fee and the pet must be removed from the property.
We are happy to accept your Service Dog. Please let us know that your Service Dog will be joining you during your check in process. Please note that Emotional Support Animals are NOT considered Service Animals and will NOT be accepted.
Taxes & fees
NH Rooms & Meals Tax at a rate of 8.5% which will be calculated and clearly noted during the booking process.
